Do you like to sing? Dance? Share stories? We need you to be part of the Christmas pageant this year. Just like last year, the first part of this Christmas celebration will be a Bem Church Variety Show. We saw so much amazing talent last year, so this year could be even better. Please see Pastor Jeff to sign up to be part of this fun night to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
Christmas Eve Worship
There will be two Christmas Eve worship services. One at 5:30, focused on Children and the other at 11 pm, the traditional Candlelight service with Lessons and Carols and Communion.
We will not have worship on Sunday, December 25 at Bem Church. However, we have been invited by Trinity Chapel Church on Highway 19 to join them. (Some of their members will be joining us on Christmas Eve).
Salvation Army Bell Ringing
We will be participating in the Ministerial Alliance’s bell ringing at Walmart this December. Remember 85% of the funds collected at Walmart stay in the Owensville-Rosebud area and help with the back to school fair and vouchers, which serve as a safety net for so many in our community. Our dates are Friday, Dec 2 and Thursday, Dec 8. Volunteers are still needed from 10am - 12pm and 4pm - 6pm on both days. We also need people on Thursday, Dec 8 from 10am - 2pm. A sign-up sheet is in the narthex.
The Mission and Social Concerns Committee will be coordinating the adoption of families this Christmas. Children are from both Owensville and Cuba. The gifts are due back to church by December 4. All the ornaments have been taken but if you still want to help or have questions contact Sarah Whelan or any member of the Mission/Social Concerns Committee.
Jamie Mercer is working on plans for the Choir to sing in worship during Advent. Please see Jamie for more information or if you are interested.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
